Making IT happen
Introducing our new “Four Inc. Meet the Team” blog series! Over the course of this series, we invite you to get to know our Four Inc. Family; the people that make this organization so great. We are excited to kick off this series with our Sales Operations Manager, Ryan Murakami!
I grew up in Herndon, VA, with my parents, older brother and younger sister. I currently live in Merrifield, VA. I graduated from James Madison University in 2014 with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business.
No day is ever the same, but there are definitely some things that remain consistent in my current role like keeping up with RFQs, building quotes, reviewing government orders, sending purchase orders and supporting our sales operations team with any SEWP related questions. There are new challenges and unique situations that come up every day. The new challenges keep me motivated and help me grow as a professional.
I played baseball for Jeff Nolan, COO of Four Inc., at Paul VI Catholic High School and contacted him my senior year of college to see if he was hiring for Four Inc. or knew of anyone hiring. When I interviewed with Four Inc., the vibes and values they demonstrated really sold me. I could tell that Four Inc. had a great environment and the team seemed very close-knit, which was something I valued when interviewing for jobs.
I’ve been at Four Inc. for a little over five years. I started working as a Customer Support Representative with one of Four Inc.’s service engagements. About a year later, I moved to HQ as a Contract Support Analyst to support our new ITES-SW and SEWP contracts. Over the past few years, my focus shifted toward handling the day to day operations of our SEWP contract. This past year, I was promoted to Sales Operations Manager.
When I first started at HQ, our SEWP contract was just beginning, so being able to support it from day one and contributing to the growth and success over the years has been exciting.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, working out, listening to music (specifically the Queen of Pop, Britney Spears) and traveling. I am also a huge Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Orioles fan so I try to watch every game!
Keep an open mind, as a professional and in everyday life. It’s never good to be stuck in old habits just because, trying new things and learning from new people is important to grow as a professional and as a person in general.
