IBM Technical Architect
To support the growth of our IBM Public Sector business, Four Inc. is seeking a skilled, customer-focused, technically minded professional to join our team as a Technical Architect / Solutions Architect. Position Description:
The Technical Architect / Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, presenting, and implementing IBM solutions that address the unique challenges of federal, state, and local agencies. This high-visibility position requires collaboration with sales teams, engagement with technical stakeholders, and execution of technical solutions that drive customer success.
This individual will perform the following tasks:
- Understand federal agency missions, requirements, and IT environments
- Partner with IBM Public Sector sales teams to conduct technical discovery and align solutions to agency needs
- Support proof-of-concept efforts, workshops, trainings, and product evaluations
- Maintain and expand IBM technical certifications and competencies
- Develop technical product messaging, solution architectures, and whitepapers for presentations and proposals
- Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to identify customer challenges and industry trends
- Design and demonstrate IBM solutions focused on AI, automation, data, and analytics
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key technical stakeholders in the public sector
- Support proposal efforts and coordinate with internal teams
- Represent Four Inc. professionally in all communications and meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, technical services, or technical engineering
- 3+ years of experience with AI and automation technologies
- Experience developing and delivering technical demonstrations and solution designs
- Ability to create technical collateral, including reference architectures, whitepapers, and presentations
- Experience with IBM or enterprise software products preferred; IBM certifications in AI, automation, cloud, or analytics a plus
- Knowledge of federal compliance requirements (FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC)
- Experience working with federal, state, or local agencies
- Strong collaboration, time management, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, Zoom)
- Ability to gain clearance preferred
