HCL/IBM Account Representative
To support the growth of our Public Sector business, Four Inc. is seeking a motivated, early-career sales professional to join our team as an HCL/IBM Account Representative. This role offers excellent opportunities to gain experience in federal IT sales, collaborate with seasoned account executives, and help drive software opportunities across public sector agencies.
Position Description:
The HCL/IBM Account Representative is responsible for supporting sales activities, managing customer relationships, and assisting in business development to grow our vendor and partner opportunities. This role requires proactive prospecting, collaboration with internal teams, and alignment of technology solutions to meet customer mission needs.
This individual will perform the following tasks:
- Execute sales activities to support account managers in achieving revenue goals
- Identify opportunities within assigned territory using demand generation and prospecting tools
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and software vendors
- Provide operational account support, including RFQ responses, proposals, and order processing
- Manage and accurately forecast a pipeline of sales opportunities
- Leverage knowledge of federal procurement processes to align opportunities with budgets, timelines, and requirements
- Generate new business through cold/warm calling, networking, and partner collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions
- Foster trust and credibility by aligning solutions to customer objectives and challenges
- Maintain accurate CRM records and report on key sales metrics
- Continuously develop knowledge of federal IT trends, budgets, and compliance requirements
- Represent Four Inc. professionally in all communications and meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in public sector sales, business development, or account management
- Track record in outbound prospecting and pipeline generation; experience supporting full sales cycles
- Experience with IBM/HCL or enterprise software products preferred
- Knowledge of federal procurement methods (GWACs, BPAs, SEWP, GSA Schedules)
- Understanding of federal compliance requirements (FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC)
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Familiarity with federal agencies and their missions
- Experience with sales tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, GovWin, or similar
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Sugar, Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Comfortable with digital collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, Zoom)
- Ability to gain clearance preferred
