In today’s rapidly shifting federal IT landscape, NASA’s SEWP contract is expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future. While GSA still plans to take over major IT contracts like SEWP, that is not expected to happen until after NASA awards SEWP VI. 

SEWP currently provides IT products, services, and cybersecurity tools to all federal agencies, offering a streamlined, “Best in Class” procurement process. All SEWP V contracts have been extended through October 31, 2025.

SEWP VI will build on this foundation with expanded contract types, enhanced compliance standards, a higher contract ceiling, new technical areas, and an expected major increase in prime contractors from 147 to around 1,000.
