Project Management Support

Location: Herndon, VA

Position Overview: Four Inc. is seeking a capable Project Management professional to join our team! This support role will be responsible for project management oversight of federal government contracts including assisting with overall coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of projects with multiple clients and government customers.

In this position you will often be supporting multiple projects/tasks and/or groups of personnel at multiple locations. The individual is responsible for developing and maintaining key strategic relationships with various stakeholders within the client and government organizations and upholding persistent awareness of overall program status. The Project Management Support will create and maintain project management documentation such as schedules, risk registers, work breakdown structures, stakeholder contact lists, and other such documents in order to effectively capture and convey strategic information to internal and external stakeholders. You will also be expected to coordinate and facilitate the timely submission of financial, performance, and status reports along with other reports required by the client.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of day-to-day activities of Task Orders on multiple contracts.
  • Personnel management, task management, schedule management, risk management, financial and budget oversight, quality assurance/control of technical performance, and management of customer satisfaction.
  • Support and work collaboratively with sales and business/program operations to complete project stand-up activities.
  • Meet regularly with government program managers and contracting officers to ensure issues are promptly resolved and to enhance communications.
  • Responsible for performance management and reporting as well as updating performance management process as needed to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Review project plans to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Identify risks and areas of concern and adequately work with manager and teams to triage them and drive resolution.
  • Work with government clients to establish priorities, including staffing actions, documented processes and quality control measures.
  • Handle contract management functions: contract performance reviews, modifications with pipeline analysis, proposals, invoicing, subcontractor and vendor management, contract deliverables and status reports.
  • Ensure project activities are compliant with contract (IDIQ and Task Order) and other relevant regulations and policies.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors, with an initial emphasis on contract compliance and ultimately growth through a successful relationship.

  • Oversee expenditures and prepare budget projections and scenarios as requested.
  • Liaise with management and executive leadership on implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans to improve efficiencies.
  • Manage resources within contract budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines.
  • Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies.
  • Maintain commitment to company values.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills, proven ability to manage large amounts of reference information and manage execution of numerous action items across multiple strategic tasks, projects, and initiatives supporting corporate and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with senior level government and corporate personnel on a daily basis.
  • Ability to provide leadership to large cross-functional implementation teams of diverse staff.
  • Strong time management skills and a demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Proven budget and financial management ability.
  • Strong strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, strong customer orientation, excellent analytical, facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience with facility and/or personnel clearances, including systems such as JPAS, DISS, and NISS.
  • Proven experience with managing government contracting requirements and working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and others.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and problem solve at both a strategic and functional level.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Management and/or Contracts certifications are a plus.
